The Jefferson Corner Group was formed by Spinner Technologies in hope to provide investment capital to U.Va. faculty spin-off companies and other technology businesses in the region.
Spinner Technologies, Inc. is a company owned by the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia Patent Foundation. Spinner helps University of Virginia entrepreneurs with the development of their technology companies. Over the years, Spinner have sought to expand our services to fulfill the growing needs of these start-ups. One area that is often particularly difficult for young companies is the acquisition of early-stage financing. Therefore, Spinner created the Jefferson Corner Group I, LLC is a member-managed angel fund designed to capitalize on the growth in entrepreneurial activity in Charlottesville and also in other areas.
